The Eiffel Tower is often the first thing tourists think of when they think of Paris. Some great photos can be taken from Champs de Mars. Another popular place for photographs is across the river in the Jardins du Trocadero. Just a few blocks south-west from Trocadero, there are streets where one can see the Eiffel Tower between buildings. These photos create a slightly different perspective. The Metro stations Trocadero and Passy are close by. Alighting the Metro at Bir Hakeim and crossing the Seine on the Pont Bir Hakeim walking towards Avenue du President Kennedy, reveals an interesting view as well. Newlyweds love to have their photo taken on Pont Bir Hakeim with the Eiffel Tower in the background. I have actually seen a couple having their photo taken here. In my photo, I think I’ve been quite clever in a cutesy kind of way creating two towers, one is La Tour Eiffel and the other is la tour lampadaire.
